Women who are bold and adventurous.<\/p>\n<p>Women like them.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2003, the brand which uses 95% recycled, upcycled, and sustainable materials, has grown from a small surf apparel company to an 8-figure beach lifestyle brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"w-richtext-align-center w-richtext-figure-type-image\">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/goodads.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6703bd1eb1b842eb038b08d3_AD_4nXdUMciAUvTxGrVGx_wvv59-K8L5s-3pK3snrRsCLRcPrNzcN-1Vh6oKvqsdvADZGaiAS1LWANhm9eGtJw3quXi5a-BG5-335QfDmMk3PAzWhl1PhkEKKyrfTDsMR4fafdTg40f02nNEouAd3I-zuyOqoJM.png\" alt=\"Megan Porteous \u2014 VP of eCommerce at Carve Designs\" \/><\/div><figcaption><em>Megan Porteous \u2014 VP of eCommerce at Carve Designs<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Megan Porteous joined the brand as head of digital marketing, bringing with her an in-depth knowledge of advertising and a wealth of experience from her time with brands like Arc\u2019teryx, Oakley, and REEF.<\/p>\n<p>In her efforts to further scale Carve Designs\u2019 growth, Megan decided to explore\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/socioh.com\/\">Socioh<\/a>\u00a0for the brand\u2019s dynamic ads.<\/p>\n<div id=\"the-problem\">\n<h2>The Problem<\/h2>\n<p>Carve Designs did not come to Socioh with a specific problem.<\/p>\n<p>The brand and its ads were performing well.<\/p>\n<p>But when they heard that Socioh\u2019s Branded Catalogs had skyrocketed the ROI of dynamic catalog ads for similar brands, they were intrigued.<\/p>\n<p>After a demo with Socioh, Carve Designs decided to take the plunge and give Socioh\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/socioh.com\/branded-product-feed-for-dynamic-product-ad\">Branded Catalogs<\/a>\u00a0a try.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-embed\">\n<div class=\"aqua-bar-text-block\">\n<p>The Branded Catalog is a context-rich product feed with advanced automation, mapping, and design functionality for dynamic ads (DPA, DABA).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/socioh.com\/examples\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See how<\/a>\u00a0the Branded Catalog is successfully used by brands like Specialized Bikes, True Classic Tees, Ten Thousand, Ted Baker, Brumate, and more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<p>Within the first 6 weeks, the brand saw a substantial improvement in the performance of their dynamic ads (DPA and DABA campaigns). Blended ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) improved by\u00a0 53.1%, while CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) simultaneously decreased by 37.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Even more importantly, the brand was able to identify their best-performing creative which led to an\u00a0<strong>improvement in ROAS of 98.6%<\/strong>\u00a0with a corresponding<strong>\u00a0drop in CAC of 63%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"w-richtext-align-center w-richtext-figure-type-image\">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/goodads.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/65b0f46653873cc0fb93a28c_rpimvb1qMEUCpvB5-jByIrG6j2na5jEWjGwcsfFBwwigIu6fcEmycNiZJYbwpDfixICi4EwiBDXU1F5IqpKyQBxOdVjLqlFaH9yav3NZ2Y_vJnxgOXS24v7wg1bSMDTbzV11TKhyR5SEHQpIVDiUzpk.png\" alt=\"Carve Designs performance report of DPAs created via Socioh. This feed automatically pulled the first image from their store and used it for the brand\u2019s dynamic ads (DPAs and DABA).<\/p>\n<p>But here\u2019s the problem with the standard product feed \u2014 the advertiser has virtually no control over the creative.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<strong>This is a massive lost opportunity in terms of messaging and brand recognition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And while Meta does offer some options for catalog creatives like frames and stickers, these are extremely limited in terms of how much control you have over the style, messaging, and design.<\/p>\n<p>With Socioh\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/socioh.com\/branded-product-feed-for-dynamic-product-ad\">Branded Catalogs<\/a>, though, Carve Designs was able to add relevant messaging, multiple images, on-brand design, and advanced automation directly onto their product feed \u2014 giving them unprecedented control over the look and feel of their catalog ads.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to take you over the various iterations we worked on together, the intention behind each iteration, and the results we saw.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"pre-socioh-catalog-ads\">\n<h2>Pre-Socioh Catalog Ads<\/h2>\n<p>This is the standard catalog Carve Designs was using before they started with Socioh.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"w-richtext-align-center w-richtext-figure-type-image\">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/goodads.ai\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/6703bd1fb1b842eb038b08f5_AD_4nXeMbx-4EkWzwEwbqdlOSBxk6xp4nb_SLzXPkg1y16pHtcCqf94vrVsR4uXv9p9FOQSf_mTSybJSWVznr4koxhSm6Y9C9_Muvv1SeEsoY_oMJn404Lvb7f4soa_jLOwwGcOGd1JXwyYqPLUZx2PENGA9RpOM.png\" alt=\"Carve Design plain catalog ad.\" \/><\/div><figcaption><em>Carve Design plain catalog ad<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Unfortunately, Meta doesn\u2019t fit vertical product images very well in its carousel format.<\/p>\n<p>The unattractive white space on either side of the image severely detracted from the visual impact of the brand\u2019s stunning lifestyle photographs. (Their other option was to crop their vertical images to fit the square dimensions of the carousel ads. Being able to see an additional image in the 2-image template was a big selling point.<br \/>\nb) Carve Designs has beautiful lifestyle images. The visual impact of 2 images was far greater than that of 1 image with text.<br \/>\nc) People don\u2019t want to read.
